Why: “An injury to the brain can occur as the result of trauma, a tumor or a disease. Brain injuries often result in physical disabilities as well as significant changes in language, memory, thinking, behavior and personality. The growth and development of clinical treatment programs will depend on enhancing the skills of clinical staff for the next generation of expert clinicians. The focus of this conference is to provide clinicians with an overview of special topics, skills, and strategies for treatment teams working with those who have a Brain Injury. This conference will facilitate the growth of clinical programs of a comprehensive treatment team, through the advancement of best practice in brain injury rehabilitation. Clinicians will be more effective and efficient practitioners and by integrating, and promoting behaviors that are congruent with those explored in the conference.”
How: “This conference will be presented via an interactive didactic course format. Discussion and active participation in case presentations/scenarios related to clinical practice will engage the audience.” Fairly cheap considering everything, only $325. Pending approval by TPTA, AOTA, ASHA, CCM and nursing for 19.5 CCUs.
