My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I have never, ever read one single comic book up to this point. After reading this, I really don’t “get” the genre. I have another comic on my to-read list for the year for the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge 2017, so we’ll see what I make of the genre. As far as Mockingbird herself, I love her. She’s a biochemist with a severe case of sarcasm. I speak fluent sarcasm, so I rather enjoyed her. At the end of the book, they mentioned that this is supposed to be a part of a puzzle? I guess the story continues on and will make more sense later? I hope so, because this one is non-congruous in time, which drives me CRAZY. But at the same time, I don’t know that I’ll want to continue on with another. If I could find it at the library or borrow it, maybe, but if I had to buy another, probably not.
